Rob: It is not. Selected shows are but I want to get a device the one I have heard about is the radio Shark.

David Lawrence: Yeah radio Shark and it*s exactly--.

Rob: Regularly automatically record and then you know you have turned it into compressed audio file.

David Lawrence: That*s exactly what I was going to recommend was radio Shark. It*s from Griffin, correct?

Rob: Yeah.

David Lawrence: And they make great 2.6.17_______for your computer. Radio Shark is the one that I like because you actually need a live radio to use it.

Max: It has a built in FM tuner in it and it works Windows and Mac.

David Lawrence: But you need to also, you said this is an AM?

Rob: Yeah I thought their website said it has an AM for that device but I would double check that.

David Lawrence: See here is the problem when you get an AM receiver anywhere in your computer even modern ones the leakage is so high that it can really wreck the sound. So what you might want to do is just use some software to like you can use quick keys to automatically open up something like Audacity, which is free or some other recording device on the machine and you run a line over from another AM receiver that*s somewhat further away from the computer than the radio Shark might be. This is only if the radio Shark doesn*t work for you. And then you have quick keys setup on Mac to open the machine and start to record, right. To open the software up and to hit the record button, quick keys are very versatile piece of software and it*s just a great I mean I have been using it for 2 decades. It*s a great piece of software. You can automate a bunch of stuff on your computer very quickly with quick keys.

Rob: Quick keys, okay.

David Lawrence: Quick keys yeah and just google it. You will find it. And then you can then save it you know have it turn off after 2 hours, save it to a particular file and then all you will have to do is double click that file that would be an mp3 file so you just double click that file what will open up iTunes.

Rob: Okay.

David Lawrence: Right and then you just put your iPod into you know the case or whatever you are putting it on and drag the file across.

Rob: I don*t have the mp3 player yet either. The one that caught one was a new one. I think its Lexar. It*s just a device where you put your own SD cards in, I don*t know if its quite out yet but it caught my attention.

David Lawrence: This is for a Mac?

Rob: No, it*s an mp3 player with no built-in storage. You just put SD cards in.
