David Lawrence: For those of you we spend the whole six minutes during the break trying to figure out how to make our images appear on the iTunes music store, the new version 4.9. We the Podcast here on the show and man they had us listed when they started and we picked up like a 50% increase in listeners on the Podcast the day that iTunes came out and it*s been climbing steadily ever since. This weekend tomorrow in particular, Sunday in particular there will be a whole bunch of people who will get that software update notification and it will say iTunes and also a new version of QuickTime is available and they will upgrade and then they will see the new Podcast. And so it will be a whole new slam. So now we find out that the PDF file for those of you that are Podcasting the PDF file that Apple put out had some errors in it. The itunes:image tag doesn*t work yet in the namespace for some reason. But the iTunes link href equals and then coding your path, your absolute path to your Jpeg works. I had a PMG. Maybe that*s why I wasn*t showing up.

Max: Possibly. The interesting thing is the sample code at the bottom of that PDF doesn*t have an itunes:image. It only had an itunes:link and I still couldn*t get it to work until our co-developer, the person who developed your some of your websites, Michael.

David Lawrence: Michael on Chat?

Max: Yeah Michael on Chat was helping me out finding a couple things and he sent me a link. At the same time I was finding another site that was giving me the same information. So I actually put both tags and it finally hit for me. So happy to --

David Lawrence: So I have got it in there now and now the other problem I have to do is I have to go to FeedBurner and re-sync my feeds because that*s what made it show up properly with the subtitle in the iTunes music store. Apple, you had mention that it goes directly to the podcast/index.xml file which is my original feed that I feed, FeedBurner with. But it actually is going through FeedBurner to get there because when I re-synced all of a sudden my subtitle started appearing. Everything started to appear properly. So I am going to go over here to iTunes and see if it changes anything. I doubt it will because it takes, did it ---?

Max: So you are not doing a redirect, right? You are not, you are using your redirect, how are doing your xml file through FeedBurner?

David Lawrence: Just tell FeedBurner what my xml file is.

Max: Oh okay you are not doing a redirect because if you do a redirect command you know like time out zero redirect this URL Apple will ignore it and you will not be published.

David Lawrence: No that*s not what I am doing.

Max: Okay good.

David Lawrence: I don*t think that*s what I am doing. However Leo Notenboom has done some URL rewriting so that I can actually see exactly how many hits I am getting on the mp3 file. So there maybe some issues there. Welcome by the way to the back side of how things work. Yeah alright so I am going to go check that out but we will take some calls here. 180039 online is our telephone number. 18003966546. If you have any questions about Podcasting now is the time to ask because me and we are just, we are way into this stuff. So Kenry you are online tonight with David Lawrence, hello.

Kenry: Hi, David how are you?
