Howard: Oh there is no security setting or anything?
David Lawrence: No there is a security setting but you don't want to change that.
Howard: Why?
David Lawrence: You keep that security setting right where it is. Go to the bank and say put your images on the secure server.
Howard: Okay.
David Lawrence: So in other words what normally will happen is you will get some sort of an indicator that pops up that says this page contains images and objects from two mixed servers from both an insecure and a secure server. Do you want to see all of those? Your security level is set higher than that which is a good thing for you and it should stay there. It doesn't even ask you that. It just simple doesn't display the images. It just gives you a red X. So the way for it you don't fix that, the bank fixes that. Or you can switch banks because Bank of America knows what they are doing. But that's exactly the situation when you ratchet up your security setting on Internet Explorer it starts to make those decisions for you. Now the bank can fix it by putting their images on a secure server.
Howard: Actually I have two banks and one of them is Bank of America and that seems to work fine.
David Lawrence: Yeah works fine right, sure.
Max: You would think that you would want your check images to be on the secure server as opposed to a you know regular one.
David Lawrence: Absolutely and that's what scares me even more as I am hearing you tell the story and I am hearing okay its not just one of those button images or helper images like you know Cancel. You are actually seeing and I will bet they have those buttons show up don't they?
Howard: Yes.
David Lawrence: Yeah because they are on secure server. Here is how you can tell. Take the red X and just right click on it and see what the URL is that shows up when you check property.
Howard: It*s a totally different URL. It*s something that doesn't have anything to do with the URL that I originally went to.
David Lawrence: And I will bet when you look at the prefix it doesn't say https. It says http okay.
Howard: Yes it's http and it's FiServe or something like that.
David Lawrence: Right so that's the problem. You are doing everything correct. Your bank needs to move those images over to their secure server.
Howard: Oh I see.
David Lawrence: Alright so you can go in and you can tell them that exactly.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
