And we walk you through the process on doing that. The reason is that that you could start to if your hard drive begins to exhibit problems. You could begin to backup bad data if all you are doing is ghosting your hard drive using a product like Ghost to copy the data automatically over the hard drive. So if something starts to happen that degrades the main drive that you have in your machine you don*t notice it because your machine isn't accessing those parts of the hard drive. Well every time you Ghost entirely that hard drive over to the other drive you are now ghosting bad data. So if you use the process we give you in 10 Quick Steps to Perfect Backups to do your backups including using the software that we recommend which is Retrospect you will be just fine. Max: I use CMS Bounce Back because it will create a bootable exact image of your drive in case of a failure. Right now my PowerBook is having a little trouble and so I am very thankful that I have a bootable drive as apposed to some of the other options which do I am a big fan of Retrospect. I used that a lot in the past, especially when I was doing very large stuff to tape. But now that I have like PowerBook I have got 20 gig drive. So backing it up to a device that*s bootable was very attractive to me.
David Lawrence: Very nice. Alright it*s 25 past the hour let*s hit the phones. 180039 online is our telephone number 18003966546 Dustin you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence hello sir.
Dustin: Hey David how is it going man? It*s good to talk to you.
David Lawrence: Thank you sir.
Dustin: My main concern tonight is I heard you had a Mac guy on and I am a huge Mac guy. And I am real concerned about this new chip switch I guess you call it from the G series the G5 to the new Intel chips could be happening in 2007 whenever they switch over to the high end machine.
David Lawrence: Yeah in fact we had Max on when the day they announced that. The Monday they announced that they were changing to Intel chips, that was at the WWDC. And we now have three Mac geeks on the air all at one time. But you had some things to say about the Intel chips didn*t you Max?
Max: Yeah I would like to first hear what concerns you about the change?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
