David Lawrence: Okay it should be if its not you should upgrade it because there are so many security flaws with Windows that are automatically detailed. If you don*t have Windows 98 Second Edition there is a very good chance that you have had a Backdoor Trojan installed on your machine. Windows 98 itself as opposed to Win 98 Second Edition has been compromise so thoroughly that it is absolutely not something you should be having on the Internet.
Ray: Okay.
David Lawrence: Okay so check this even Second Edition also check to see if you have enough RAM to run all the programs on your machine, you should have at least 256 and at most 256 maximum RAM because Windows 98 will not recognize anything above 256. If you have not altered your Windows 98 system.ini file it won*t recognize anything above 64 megabytes. So even if you have more than 64 it won*t recognize it. There is a simple one line change you can make. So there is an awful lot of things you can investigate and if you pop me an E-mail at either Lawrence@Aol.com or David@Onlinetonight.com I would send you back the change to make your system.ini file to make it recognize more RAM but I would get more RAM I would make sure its on Windows 98 Second Edition and I would make this change and see if that doesn*t fix things. 180039 online is our telephone number, John you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.
John: Hi.
David Lawrence: Hi there.
John: I have got a Windows Media Player. I download sounds up there and clicked the 28.K button. And then I try and copy it through a CD and it will say like cannot copy because it*s an ASF file so how would I like copy it?
David Lawrence: You can*t.
John: Oh.
David Lawrence: What you are downloading is actually not a download it*s you are streaming the music. When you click on that ASF file what its doing is its actually going out to the net grabbing the data and playing it for you but it*s not actually depositing it on your machine.
John: Okay.
David Lawrence: Okay.
John: Yeah.
David Lawrence: Alright I appreciate the call. 180039 online is our telephone number Chris you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.
Chris: Mr. Lawrence hello.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
