David Lawrence: Right, well that will work. Alright it*s 9 minutes past the hour let*s get back to phones Darlington had called and you were looking at a file that has .MIX as the filename extension.
Darlington: That*s correct.
David Lawrence: And you surmised that it was a picture and it could be, now your radio is on, I can hear myself in the background and I can hear myself in delay and it*s got to be driving you crazy so if you can please turn it off.
Darlington: Okay, I will just turn it off.
David Lawrence: There we go, let*s keep it off. So .MIX is used by number of different things. The extension can be used by everything from a DJ system called Techno EJ to a game called Command & Conquer and a number of different other applications as well. The question is does your friend know do you know what applications she used to create the file, can she give you any sort of hint?
Darlington: I did ask lots question but I haven*t got any reply or response from her yet.
David Lawrence: Most likely if it*s a picture if you are saying it*s a picture there are two pieces of software that use .MIX one is PhotoDraw 2000 and the other is Picture It, both of them are from Microsoft. They use .MIX as the extensions. What I would have her do since you don*t have either one of those applications is I would have her save it as a JPEG rather than as Multilayer .MIX file.
Darlington: And as a what?
David Lawrence: JPEG and then resend it you. What she is doing is if those are the two one of the two pieces of software that she is using, she is sending you a raw file rather than something saved in a more universal format like JPEG, alright?
Darlington: Alright, thank you.
David Lawrence: I appreciate the time, Jesse.
Jesse: How you are doing?
David Lawrence: You are Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I am doing fine thank you for asking, how can I help you sir?
Jesse: I am trying to explain it the best I can, I am not very good with computers but I have Comcast DSL at my house and we have two computers hooked up to it and I bought a, I don*t know what it*s called I bought a wireless thing with antenna according to be my USB so I can hook up to the Internet wirelessly.
David Lawrence: So your router is wireless?
Jesse: Right, right.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
