David Lawrence: Never, never, never, never, never, never, respond to any ad that pops up and says you need a Spyware removal program. Never, spell it for me, never, in fact just yesterday. Spyware Assassin, I have warned you people about this for a year now. That most of these programs that advertise don*t do squat. And further they add to the Spyware problem. This guy up in Washington State that was offering for sale Spyware Assassin is now under investigation by the FTC because not only that this software not remove any Spyware. It actually used Spyware pop-up ads to let you know that you had a problem and that only his system could solve it. Everything I tell you to use here on the show other than our friends at Anonymizer or at Panda who do have very comprehensive packages that includes Spyware removal, the ones that I recommend are free. Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy and Microsoft Anti-spyware those are the only three that I recommend you use. I don*t recommend you go and buy something, the ones that are free work the best. These are the companies that are dedicated to making your computer safe. Not making 30 bucks by lying to you about your computer having Spyware on it. And then not even doing anything to fix the problem, should you actually have Spyware on it. So, you were saying.

Victor: Oh great that answers the question.

David Lawrence: Terrific I appreciate the call Victor and I thank you for listening to the show. 180039 Online is our telephone number, it*s 21 before hour my name is David Lawrence, this is Online Tonight. Let*s go to Jim, Jim you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence hello.

Jim: How are you doing?

David Lawrence: I am good, thanks for asking.

Jim: I am running P3 with 2004 Pro on it and when I am in Windows Explorer and I right click on my files they are on the right side of screen, we get few of that that into your file. I can*t get the properties, when I right click there is no response, so I actually double click and like to open them, it doesn*t work. And my permission seems fine and my mouse properties are working and I am kind of had a loss what the deal is with that.

David Lawrence: So whenever I encounter situation like this I always look back to the moment when this started acting up. What was going on with your computer at the time?

Jim: Yeah I really don*t know because it was probably a day after I got home from work and my daughter was probably using the computer, looking at stuff on the web. Probably nothing malicious but you know that music --.

David Lawrence: Oh no, no I disagree, no Jim, Jim you just said something that is diametrically oppose to the truth. Nothing malicious just maybe.

Jim: Well yeah, yeah okay I have never seen.

David Lawrence: No it*s really important. It*s really important that you understand this. Do not allow your kids to download music off the net unless they are using iTunes, or MSN music or Sony Connect one of the place that you have buy, the individual track set.

Jim: She wasn*t downloading music she was looking up lyrics on websites.
