David Lawrence: Your telephone * I am doing great. Your telephone is very, very scratchy. What's your question?

Conrad: Okay, I want to know how the Sirius connection satellite hardware works in order for the receivers to receive the music.

David Lawrence: You want to know how they work for the receivers to receive the music. Alright let me, when you let you go you can listen on your radio and then you can hear. Now, Satellite Radio is becoming so much a part of the everyday psyche of America that it*s become a spam, subject line. I just got a piece of E-mail the other day *test and keep this satellite radio receiver.* And I get another piece of spam that said this company is getting into the business of providing programming for satellite radio companies such as XM and Sirius as though they are more. So it*s becoming pretty popular across Howard Stern moving over to Sirius big story Opie and Anthony going to XM. Asked being on both and also being on terrestrial radio stations, we kind of understand both sides of the fence but the way this works, the way satellite radio works is very similar to the way radio has delivered syndicated programming to individual radio stations for a long, long time. There are geosynchronous and geostationary satellites revolving around the earth in orbit in the case of XM they stay still. In the case of Sirius they rotate on an even pattern around the earth and there are multiple satellites for both. Rock and Roll are the satellites for XM, I don*t believe Sirius has named their satellites but they are actually 3 of them any two of which are covering the United States footprint at any one time.
