David Lawrence: You know you can send me Email anytime you want, either go to the website and send me Email from the link on every page you know ask David a question. By the way I want to mention something about the Ask section on the website. There are people who have sent me Email saying you know man I can*t believe you charge $97 for somebody to ask you a question. Well when we are on the air I don*t charge anything. But what started happening once we started to get on more and more radio stations on the satellite channels and so on I would come into the studio and I would have literally tiled on my machine because I never log off my machine. I would see tiled on my machine instant messages from people because we give the screen name out on the air. You can send me instant messages at screen name Lawrence on AOL. I would find literally dozens and dozens of questions from people who wanted me to answer them during the day. So to get this radio show on the air at night I do a lot of things during the day other than wait for people to send me questions and just hang out and be at people*s disposal 24x7. And people would get angry about it. Because for a while there XM was playing our show 24 hours a day. And so people thought I was live on the air and so there they would ask these questions. And you know I do support services for lots and lots of companies. I do consulting work for companies. And I thought well to make sure people understand that I am not available 24x7 but if they really, really, really want an hour of my time here is a reasonable rate to charge. You know that*s what it is. Its not during the show it costs you $97, it's not true. You can call in, ask questions for free. We love that. But you know if its like the middle of the night or first thing in the morning or whatever and you absolutely, positively need me you can go to www.onlinetonight.com and click on the Ask button and get in touch with me and I will help you, your company, your family whatever. But its not, we don*t charge for the questions on the air. I want to be clear about that. So I have got an Email from Todd Worland who said David I am a GoDaddy hosting customer. And I am developing a PHP site based on Geek log and find that I need a Cron like service. Okay so for Cron jobs, regular jobs that happen over time on your server and the Cron command it's something that*s native to flavors of Unix, that like you do that sort of thing. So I have Googled and reviewed about a dozen hosted Cron services but they all seem like they have been put together by amateurs. My site will be professional. And I need a professional service. Any suggestions are welcome. Well I have already contacted friends of mine at GoDaddy to see if they have a native Cron service. I am assuming that they don*t if you looked at that. But what they suggest and the best way to get in touch with them is support@godaddy.com. I have done that because I don*t need Cron services. I have never investigated them but I would like to know the answer of the question as well. Often times my best skill is not necessarily knowing the answer to what you might ask but knowing where to find the answer, and how to ask the question back with more Online Tonight in just a moment.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
