David Lawrence: Hello, it*s 7 minutes past the hour. This has been an incredible week. We spent the last 3 days or so immersed in the largest gaming convention held anywhere in the world anytime, any place, here in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We were at E3 Broadcasting all 3 days Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. And for those of you that aren't into gaming, for those of you that don*t have the latest and the greatest you know _______1.56 and don*t know what a Frag is, and don*t know what an RPG is, or what any sort of head-to-head gaming is all about. The cool thing about what*s going on at something like E3 is that whatever happens at E3 eventually filters down and is added hardware wise and software wise to mainstream computers, video cards, sound cards, hard drive systems, controllers you know it all eventually whatever advances are made, eventually filters down into what everybody uses for computing, not just gamers. And that goes all the way back to when Quake and Doom were created. They virtually single handedly created this business of continuous shareware and betas. They advanced the strategies of local area networking, simply because they wanted to shoot guns at each other. You know across the network between multiple computers. So a lot of things came out of that and the big announcements that happened this week at E3 was the announcement about both the PS3 and the Microsoft*s Xbox 360. In fact Microsoft decided not to make their announcement during E3, but to make their announcement almost a whole week earlier and not you know in front of the gaming press, but on MTV of all things. So you know so many things happened and I got to tell you when you look at, just pick up a copy of this week*s Time Magazine before the weekend is out, pick up a copy of Time Magazine at your local newsstand and check it out. Because there is an article in there, oh there are lot of article in there that is really, it is the Dave Chappelle article is in there which is kind of eye opening. But the article about Microsoft and Xbox 360 and it*s development both in it*s form factor, the way it looks, the color, the components inside, what they do and how they do it, those things are all fascinating to read, just incredible to read. They have an amazing background in history that lead up to the development and the release of a gaming platform like that have been, we actually talked to the guys who is in charge of Xbox 360 as a product for Microsoft. And he said that the development on Xbox 360 actually began about 3 years ago. So even before the original Xbox was released, they were already beginning plans for its successor, which is just fascinating. Now in terms of gaming more of the same, there really wasn*t any thing revolutionary at the event. It was the first event for me though where I was in, 2 games on the floor since coming out to Los Angeles I have been doing a lot of writing and a lot of voice work for not only film and radio and television but also now games. And for one of the games that is coming out on Xbox 360 as well as one that*s coming out for both PC and Xbox, I am very heavily involved in the writing, the production of sound and voice work, character voices and whatnot for a game called Saint*s Row which is from Volition and THQ and it*s a run around town and kill people and break things kind of game. That*s kind of cool and I am in Madden 2006 which is already getting picked as one of the big games of the year. And they will both be out for 360 later on this year. So that*s kind of a cool thing to be involved with. And to actually be down on the floor and to hear your voice come out of these huge blaring speakers with this gigantic image on the screens and to see that all come together, it*s like going back 30 years to the first time I heard myself on the radio, when I wasn*t on the air I had done a commercial of KMart I think.
