David Lawrence: Thank you so much we are tuning in and the name of the show Online Tonight. My name is the lady said is David Lawrence. I am your host and I love talking to you our toll free telephone number is 180039 online 18003966546. This portion of the show brought to you by www.GoDaddy.com need to register one domain or transfer a thousand domains then I have got the place for you. Right now domains are just $3.99 when you buy any other product to www.GoDaddy.com they are my choice for domain names and right now my listeners exclusively can save 10% on their entire order not just a dollar but 10%, just enter *Save Ten* as your promo code, make your name with www.GoDaddy.com. Eight minutes past the hour. Before we went to the break we were talking with Dillon about getting a microphone for him that is reasonable in terms of price and in quality. Now, you had asked about my microphone.

Dillon: Right.

David Lawrence: My microphone also requires an additional piece of equipment called a preamp so when is said and done between the head phones and the microphone the preamp you are talking about maybe a little less than a $1000. So that*s now what you are looking for. So let me offer you what I think are three options depending upon how you are going to use it, three options for you that are all around 30 bucks.

Dillon: Okay.

David Lawrence: Okay and they all come from Audio Technica which is a reasonably reasonable quality for the price. One is the, and I am going to put these, you don*t have to take notes, I am going to putting these all in the show notes for the third hour of the show. I am going to put links up for all of them.

Dillon: Oh great okay. No more typing.

David Lawrence: There is three different types of microphones that I recommend. One is a pencil mike it*s a long slender mike that you can actually mount in the, in the holder that*s included on a typical threaded arm. If you want it you can buy it at musicians supply store. It is the ATR25. The ATR25 is a microphone that if you talk across the end of it you will minimize popping you will minimize the phup phup sound when you make ps. And it will pickup very little of the noise around the room behind the microphone. So if you are in a high noise type of area and it plugs right into your computer. There is no need for a preamp there is no need for anything its 30 bucks. You can also take it with you out on the road if you go somewhere and you want to do an interview with somebody you can take it with you and it*s got nice heft to it. Recording all of this either into your computer or into one of those little iRivers or any other sort of flash recorder is very easy because the microphone is really light. It*s about the weight of an expensive pen. That*s how heavy it is.
