David Lawrence: Well I am certainly honored and pleased that you would think that I would have any further information on what might be the problem. But this is one of the situations where unless I was sitting in front of your computer having the knowledge that two techs from Comcast which apparently are new to the DSL business and I am not sure if this is a DSL issue or not. They confirmed that your phone number is DSL capable. You are not too far away from the central office obviously you were using the same phone line for both SPC Yahoo and Comcast right?
Mitch: Comcast use their television cable on.
David Lawrence: Ah, so they are feeding, let me make sure I understand this properly. They are feeding DSL service over something other than a phone line?
Mitch: Yes it comes in through the cable line.
David Lawrence: Not possible. You are getting Comcast cable service not DSL. DSL is distributed physically over a phone line only. So if it*s coming over the cable system, it is as I suspected in the beginning, cable service. There is no such thing as cable DSL that I am aware of. And I can't find the possibility that is possible. The phone line has to be able to carry the signal properly and that's tuned to a particular phone line. The cable it would be kind of foolish for them to offer DSL over cable. Number one, I don't know, are they offering Voice over IP along with this?
Mitch: I don't know.
