Ruby: Every time I click on to Outlook Express.
David Lawrence: Yes I understand.
Ruby: It comes up.
David Lawrence: Yeah Outlook Express is your E-mail. So it*s not a pop up. It*s E-mail.
Ruby: It comes up, it pops up every time I --
David Lawrence: Okay it*s not a pop up. It*s an E-mail message. Outlook Express is your E-mail message.
Ruby: Okay.
David Lawrence: Okay? So the point is, do not respond to them. The only time that you will ever get any information from eBay it won't include a link for log in. They don*t do that anymore.
Ruby: Okay.
David Lawrence: Okay so contact eBay, contact your bank and please the rest of you understand that the mission here is to protect people not to look for the exceptions to the rules. If she owes money from eBay she will know when she goes back to eBay, the real eBay, not via E-mail, not via a pop up. People arguing with that point are the reason that these guys get away with identity theft. So please, please just listen and stop trying to show how much you know. It*s really important. It happens to me all the time. I mention a scam on the air and people want to write me and E-mail me and instant message me and tell me why I am wrong and why it*s probably this and probably that. The fact is that Ruby said she hasn*t been on eBay since September. eBay does not send out E-mail messages any longer with log in links in them because so many password phishers have taken that format and made it unusable and they certainly do not use Pop-Up Ads. It*s very important that the overall message be heard and that is that scammers are looking to take your identity anyway they can. Don*t let them do it. Don*t respond, don*t click on any links in E-mails. Don*t send an E-mail back to them. Just delete it and on your own go to www.eBay.com period because if she logged in to what she thought was eBay and found that her account was *suspended* it is probably because that*s the way the password phishers got her information. eBay itself doesn*t know who you are until you log in. Their cookies expire very quickly specifically for this purpose. This is something that drives me crazy. People try to talk themselves into getting scammed. She doesn*t owe any selling fees. You haven*t received an E-mail from eBay telling you to pay your fees. This is a scam. Please don*t fall for it. Mary you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.
Mary: Hello.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
