David Lawrence: Well that's your-
Larry: You know I am thinking.
David Lawrence: I understand that's your options so I wouldn*t investigate those and let me know what you do. Thanks for the call, it*s 20 before the hour Jay.
Jay: Yes sir. I like to know is there any simple way to create a recovery disk. I got Windows XP Home edition. I am just new on it. I am familiar with the Window 95 and 98 but not quite Window XP requisites.
David Lawrence: So how did you get XP did it come on the machine that you are added, did you get an upgrade?
Jay: No it just came you know it*s a brand new machine, eMachine.
David Lawrence: Oh it*s an eMachine, it*s okay.
Jay: And I created one time and then I burned 4 CDs on it and I am not sure if that you know came out alright or not. I like to create a game if I could. I can burn DVD also on it but I don't get that skin back anymore.
David Lawrence: Well okay, first of all you can call, what's the Gateway that is on eMachines you think. Somebody bought eMachine I think it was Gateway.
Jay: I brought from Five Electronics.
David Lawrence: Yeah I understand that but you want to call the company itself and I am just trying to remember who brought eMachines. Was it Hewlett Packard or Gateway and I am pretty sure it was Gateway. You can call them and say hey how do I get this recovery disk back?
Jay: Oh I see.
David Lawrence: I need to burn this because it depends on your model of machine where it is and what you actually do to get it. Sometimes there is software built-in to the machine that has a special function that will go into that hidden area on the hard drive and grab the image for the disk and burn your recovery disk.

David Lawrence is heard nightly as the wacky, eclectic and highly opinionated host of The David Lawrence Show, and weekend Online Tonight, network radio talk shows that revolves around pop culture and the high-tech lifestyle. The award-winning shows combine entertainment, information, interviews and news with the speed and humor of a Top-40 morning show.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
