Alright Bookmark This, where we take you to a very cool website that just shows you something very cool or gives you a great deal on something.

This portion of the show brought to you by Rackspace Managed Hosting. Let Rackspace take care of installing, maintaining and managing your backups. They are flexible, robust, fully-managed backup solutions can help you prevent unrecoverable data loss. It*s all at Rackspace Managed Hosting, call them at 18009612888 or visit them at www.rackspace.com.

Alright, so this hour*s Bookmark This is all about the recorder that one would use to record a Podcast, okay. Now for those of you that don*t know what Podcasting is all about just bear with me. There are lots and lots of people out there who would love to figure out how to Podcast, how to walk around and interview people or do a sound scene or just let people know what's on their mind via audio. Now the thing that we specify for Wil Wheaton, the device that is used to record the Podcast is the same device that Adam Curry uses when he is walking around and he has a studio setup as well much like we do here. But when he is out and about he uses the iRiver iFP 799T flash-based mp3 player recorder. Now this is in equivalent by the way, this is the same category, same type of device as an iPod or a Rio or a Zio or MuVo or the Nike player. It*s a flash memory-based, no moving parts mp3 player and recorder and the cool thing about it is that the recorder will record very, very good quality. That's the difference between this and the iPod. The iPod simply is set to record at you know voice node quality, like if you are recording a lecture and it drones on for 3 hours it*s more built for length of time recording rather than quality of the recording. And the iRiver lets you set the quality all the way up to even better than CD quality if you want. So the IFP 799 will put a link forward up on the blog during the first hour of the show and you can get it through our link at www.amazon.com. I believe it*s a $175 or $185 and if you are part of, obviously if you are part of Amazon premier you get second day delivery for free and you get overnight delivery for 4 bucks or whatever it is. But this is the device that actually does the recording and the cool thing about it is, it*s about the size of a stogy you know like a cigar that's been half smoked down. It*s about as thick as a cigar and maybe 4 inches long and the amount of electronics and cool things that have been packed into this device is just amazing.

Now that is this hour*s bookmark this, you can find it at www.iRiver.com. We will put a link up so that you can get it for less over at www.amazon.com. Go to the www.thedavidlawrenceshow.com or go to www.onlinetonight.com and click on tonight show which is called the The AMDiville Horror that's what I did. And the first hour will have the link for the iRiver and that*s what you need to get everything recorded if you are out and about doing the Podcast. Now what we will show you next is the microphones that we specify because it*s very important you get the right mike because you get those cheap mikes, man, it just doesn*t sound good. For right now there it is, the iRiver IFP 799 flash-based mp3 player and recorder that is this hour*s Bookmark This. Transcripts of Online Tonight and select hours of the David Lawrence show are available at our website www.onlinetonight.com and they are made possible by our friends at Datalyst. You can reach them at www.datalystcorp.com.
