Johnny: Yeah.

David Lawrence: It takes time for it to reboot and it does so, so that you are protected. When you start yanking cords out of the back of your computer you are begging for a situation like this. I am surprised, I am surprised you even called me and said what's wrong. You know what's wrong; you yanked the cord out the back of the machine while it was in the middle of writing to the hard drive right?

Johnny: Yeah.

David Lawrence: You said you knew that?

Johnny: Oh I guess that was just something I knew I don*t know why it was done but.

David Lawrence: Right, so when it sits there and it*s just sort of like the beach ball is spinning.

Johnny: Yeah I get that too.

David Lawrence: Yeah, well that's because it is working on something. It*s not nothing, not everything happens instantly. And when the beach ball is spinning don't do anything. You can go work at another program if you want to because certainly on a Macintosh there is protected space but I have a feeling that what's happened here is that you have damaged the install of your operating system. Since it won*t go beyond that initial boot screen, so yes you will have to bring your machine in and have it looked at. So there you go. You got it from me. Let*s go to Cory. Cory you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.

Cory: David hi.

David Lawrence: Hi there.

Cory: I had a question about VPN. I have XP Pro on my desktop unit, XP-Home on my notebook. I have a Linksys Wireless-G Router with VPN and I am wanting to a basically have remote desktop on the road. And the Linksys manual is no help.

David Lawrence: Well, it*s pretty straightforward to set this up. If you have been, have you been to the web interface of your Linksys Router?

Cory: Yes, yes I have.

David Lawrence: Have you gone to the advance tab where all the VPN settings are?

Cory: I have.

David Lawrence: And it*s not making sense to you?

Cory: Well, no I am pretty ignorant to it. I do I am pretty sure that, I understand I have to have either a static IP or a dynamic DNS service.
