David Lawrence: Okay why don*t you try that and see if that changes things because it rewrites the drivers among other things. It rewrites the drivers for your, in fact I am just restarting after doing a software upgrade here on my PowerBook 12-inch. It rewrites the drivers for the CDs that are inside and that*s actually something that*s fairly common on certain models, which model do you have the, Titanium?
Rick: No its one of the first we had DVD ROM in it and its 500 MHz.
David Lawrence: So it*s a SuperDrive.
Rick: No its one of the first, its* called the DVD ROM. It will burn DVDs but it*s the old version.
David Lawrence: It may very well and now you are sure using the right blanks yes.
Rick: Well I use but I am not sure I have been using the same ones that I used to use.
David Lawrence: Okay, well in that case and this started happening can you point to any particular event or incident, an install or an uninstall or software update that occurred?
Rick: I am always upgrading the software downloading, as you know, but no it just one day it was hampering.
David Lawrence: Okay, do you have an Apple store near in you?
Rick: No.
David Lawrence: I would call 1-800-SOS-Apple and it*s going to cost you to do this but I would have you send your machine back to them if you can*t do it by upgrading the Jaguar and then they will take a look at it for you. Hang on one second.
David Lawrence: David Lawrence here for Zone Alarm and stophackersnow.com. You heard me mention ZoneAlarm probably a gazillion times on the air and the reason I mention it is because it works. Plain and simple it is a software firewall that has been around forever, it*s been beaten on by hackers from around the world and it*s come out the winner. This is a package that you want to get and here is the problem, hackers can steal your passwords, they can set up viruses to invade your computer. They can put little password phishing E-mail actually they look really real and you can get your identity stolen, your families credit can be ruined, you don*t want that to happen. So what I urge you to do is to go to Stop Hackers Now for what PC Magazine calls the only security product you need, it*s the ZoneAlarm Security Suite. Select David in the dropdown menu and stophackersnow.com and get $30 off that*s stophackersnow.com, select David in the dropdown menu.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
