Alright now what is a PDF? PDF stands for Portable Document Format. Now this is a file format that Adobe created that lets you create documents where the display and the printing of those documents are exactly the way you want because the fonts and the layout are embedded in the document. It*s not relying on whether or not the person that you send the document to has those same fonts, has the same type of printer. It*s all done with Adobe*s PostScript Software. So everything looks the same no matter what. Governments use PDF for tax forms, for the California DMV, the Illinois Motor Vehicle Bureau they all use PDF to deliver the forms to you. Our books over at www.10quicksteps.com and in fact all eBooks are PDF files unless they are Word documents and that*s kind of goofy. But PDF files Portable Document Format is what that stands for. And Adobe has a free reader. Mac OS X has a preview built in that actually reads Adobe as well, Adobe PDF files as well.
