David Lawrence: Thank you so much for tuning in I appreciate it. 7 minutes past the hour my name is David Lawrence and this is Online Tonight. We talk technology, pop culture, we talk Macintosh PC, Windows Mac OS X, hardware, software, games, portable devices, your PDAs, your cell phones, even remote controls. Remote controls are getting kind of goofy these days very, very intense. These universal remote controls like Harmony from Logitech and so on. TiVo replay and XM Sirius you know new HD radios for terrestrial. Anything having to do with things that you know relives require batteries or power. We tend to talk about here on the show. iPods you know you name and we talk about it. And we love to talk to you about it as well. I have got an open line if you want to jump in you get on the air 180039 online 18003966546, 180039 online. You can also send me information via E-mail my E-mail address very easy to remember its lawrence@aol.com. I have got another address if you want to send me at our website you could do that as well it*s david@onlinetonight.com. Also you can send me an instant message. We use AOL and AOL instant messenger and their legal alternatives iChat and ICQ. My screen name there is Lawrence if you are using AOL or AIM lawrence@aol.com. If you are looking for you know ICQ or iChat you have to use the whole E-mail address because it differentiates from users that may have the same user name on their services. So that*s the best way to get in touch with me though is definitely by phone 180039 online 18003966546. We will as time goes on be talking about the virus that struck this week. We will be talking about Podcasting in fact over at www.10quicksteps.com there is a brand new guide written Maria Langer specifically for Macintosh users. Now Windows users will get stuff out of it. But for Macintosh users you definitely want to you can check this out especially if you want to get into Podcasting either hearing Podcasts or creating your own Podcasts like we do with the Personal Netcast and with Net Music Countdowns Podcast edition. And if you go check it out over at by the way it*s completely guaranteed its $9.95, if you don*t like it just let us know but Maria rocks. I mean she knows what she is talking about. Macintosh users know her. She has written all the visual quick start guides for Peachpit and she has written this instantly downloadable guide. It*s an eBook it*s an electronic book and it costs less than $10. You can be up and running with the Podcast in a matter of moments. So it*s very cool it*s called Maria*s Guide to publishing an iTunes compatible Podcast. So it*s definitely Mac oriented. But again you can certainly get stuff out of it if you are Windows user as well. 180039 online 18003966546 let*s go to the phones at 180039 online and Gordon you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello sir.
Gordon: Hello. When I turn on my computer from totally shut down I get my welcome screen and I put in my password and I go right to my desktop and the way I go in everything is fine. But before I get to the welcome screen there is about 15 to 20 seconds of dark background screen with some digit data and a Sony logo right in the center. And up in about in the middle in the left hand side there is a little piece of text that says BIOS data update in. It says BIOS update incorrect. Does that mean I have some kind of a problem that needs attention here?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
