David Lawrence: San Francisco, California and we have talked about the fact that you may have had some virus stuff going on with your machine but definitely 256 Megs of RAM is not adequate for any flavor of XP and it*s so cheap to upgrade RAM these days that I would do that. Now let*s take a look at and 1 gigabit by the way is nominal.

Sidney: 1 gigabit.

David Lawrence: Yeah it's really cheap. It's like 50-60 bucks to do that so.

Sidney: No, is it easy to install? So how can we do that?

David Lawrence: You know I can install, you can install anybody can install but you know what even though I can I still take my machine to the store and have them do it. You know why? Because if you happen to get bumped by somebody while you are doing it or you touch something that has some static associated with it and you screw it up guess who, gets to fix your machine?

Sidney: Somebody else and you have to pay for.

David Lawrence: You do. Well and you have to pay for it, right. If they do and they have to make your machine right, they have to return your machine in great working order. So for the 30 bucks or so that it cost to install it I just sort of meander over to Starbucks and grab myself some coffee and just let them do the hard work.

Sidney: Good.

David Lawrence: So anyway that*s what I would do. Now about your issue with potential virus stuff, what do you use for Antivirus Software? What do you use for Anti-Adware Software?

Sidney: I have Yahoo DSL, SBC Yahoo DSL.

David Lawrence: So you are using their package?

Sidney: Yeah I am using their stuff.

David Lawrence: I have had three or four friends that I have asked to stop doing that because --

Sidney: Oh really.

David Lawrence: As I said earlier in the show, see look God bless Yahoo and SBC and you know because I am an SBC user as well. I would no sooner take their recommendations on what type of Anti-SpyWare and Antivirus software to use as I would take their recommendations on what kind of clothes to wear because they are making their decisions based entirely upon who they have been able to make marketing deals with.
