Sydney: Hi, how are you doing?
David Lawrence: Let me check. I am doing just fine thank you for asking Sydney.
Sydney: Good I am glad to hear it.
David Lawrence: How can I help you?
Sydney: I have a question regarding virtual memory, no page file, not being able to have multiple windows open at a time. Because it says it*s data is too small or my page file size number is not right, I think *
David Lawrence: Did you, well first of all what edition of Windows are you running?
Sydney: XP Home edition.
David Lawrence: XP Home edition, okay. So that*s all automatic with XP they say they swap files for you. But here*s my question is this a machine that you have purchased recently or did you upgrade from another machine, did you upgrade the operating system from some other version of Windows?
Sydney: No it was not upgraded it was purchased that way.
David Lawrence: And how much RAM do you have on your machine?
Sydney: I want to say 256, is that alright?
David Lawrence: That*s your problem right there. 256 megs or RAM is about one third of what you should have to run Windows XP properly.
Sydney: Even if it*s Home edition.
David Lawrence: Yes even if it*s Home edition. Going back to Windows ME 512 megs was your minimum. And I would recommend that you put a gig of RAM on that machine it*s cheap. You can probably do it for less than 50 bucks *
Sydney: One real quick question before you go.
David Lawrence: I am not going anywhere go ahead.
Sydney: Oh okay I heard the music I thought you are going somewhere *

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
