We have got couple of piece of news here that all kind of go around music. File sharing is continuing at colleges. Willmont feasted on the free but mostly illegal music available through KaZaa but now a senior he*s seen his free music fix become legal thanks to an initiative by American University there in Washington DC. I think they use RapCity, don*t they. Are they using RapCity. I think they are Napster. A lot of colleges are doing this and yet it is not cutting into the use of illegal file piracy sites. Kids are still using it now because the colleges also have access to Abilene they are getting stuff a lot faster, a lot faster, so that*s the deal there. Limited song selections and other restrictions are also factors also going on over in Singapore. Singapore is cracking down on music file sharing offenders. Three internet users have been arrested in Singapore in charge with distributing digital music files in the city states first crack down on illegal file sharing, Singapore Police said on Thursday. The three young men who are arrested between the ages of 16 to 22 do you want to surprise there that they were young men. Had shared more than 20,000 music files in the internet chat rooms wasn*t even on services like eDonkey and KaZaA and Morpheus and Grokster was in chat rooms. This is first time Singapore Police have clamped down on web surfers who download pirated music and films since new copy right laws came into affect in January this year. This is interesting because in Asia it was always impossible to stop piracy and now even the Asians are getting with the program.
