Barbara: That explains why even though my icon disappeared. The same people who had hijacked my I.E. showed up on the home page of my Firefox.
David Lawrence: Okay it maybe that your machine was compromised before, it wasn*t cleaned properly and the same script that*s running will take over any browser that you have.
Barbara: That*s probably.
David Lawrence: Certainly, certainly that*s possible and further that you may not have a browser-related issue solely. It may not be just related to your browser you may have a much more systemic problem with your machine.
Barbara: Indeed I do.
David Lawrence: That other things might do, so obviously we make the same recommendation that we do all the time. The top three are Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy and now Microsoft*s new Anti-Spyware product which is the old GIANT.
Barbara: And run them in different orders.
David Lawrence: Run them all for you know don*t do what I say to do with Anti-virus software that is to only install one.
Barbara: Right.
David Lawrence: Have them installed run them all and run them multiple times and get reports from all of them to see what*s up and then you know go to the websites and see what the new, there are signature files as always keep them updated and so on. So yes so, there you go.
Barbara: The other piece of advice I got was to start computer in safe mode and run them with nothing else running.
David Lawrence: Well you can do that but sometimes they have to be loaded for them to be recognized.
Barbara: Okay.
David Lawrence: Some of the script have to be loaded for them to recognized to clean and again it*s getting more and more nefarious all the time this arms race. I appreciate the call Barbara.
Barbara: Okay.
David Lawrence: Alright 180039 online more in a moment.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
