Victor: I just want to know if you had, if you knew of any consumer level processing software for Surround Sound, Dolby in particular.

David Lawrence: Now, when you say consumer level what does that mean? I mean there are software that*s used for sound, or for music production, for sound production that includes plug-ins to do 5.1 Dolby, 7.1 etc.

Victor: Yeah something like that.

David Lawrence: Pro Tools is what I always recommend and Pro Tools is available in several different versions, one of which is very inexpensive comparatively speaking as inexpensive as a Dolby Audition and so on. It*s called Pro Tools LE and you can get it free if you buy an Mbox. Usually you can get Mboxes for around $600, $800, $900 and that is to me consumer level as well as professional. If what you are asking is how do I take a piece of music and turn it into Dolby Surround by Pseudoacoustic. I don*t know if any plug-in that will let you do that other than the ones from places like SRS they do surround sound automatically usually that*s built in to your computer. But if you Google SRS and you know see if they have got Plug-ins for your particular playback device or they maybe available, so what are you talking about you are talking about doing production from the start.

Victor: Production from the start?

David Lawrence: Yeah, I would do either Pro Tools or Logic or Neundo, or you know those are not as expensive as people think. Certainly not as expensive as High-End Video production, but I love Pro Tools I think Pro Tools rocks so use Pro Tools for everything you hear on the show, on my little power book 12 inch so there you go. 16 minutes before the hour Barbara you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.

Barbara: Yes sir, I had called you last week and asked you if you knew anyone at Symantics.

David Lawrence: Oh, yes I remember.

Barbara: Yes, well your very nice gentleman that called me.

David Lawrence: My very nice gentleman?
