MX is studio shorthand for "music."
Studio engineers have limited time, and they tend to use shorthand. MX is one of several very short references to certain parts of programming and scripts. Others include EFX, WX and VOX. Any idea what those might be? You can look them up in the Geekspeak section!

It's worth $12 but it's not worth your time
Failed execution. The DVD is repetitive and the ideas are basic. If you are beginning, this will help you (if you have the patience to sit through 2 1/2 hours of redundancy). Of all I watched, I came out with about 4 (8.5" x 11") pages of notes. Not much of worth here. To be fair, I grasped some things - I gained clarity on visualizing sound, a more accuracte perspective on mixing, i.e. sound has only 3 aspects: volume, amplitude and time, and all equipment manipulates these three aspects. He also pointed out some great mixing engineers and musicians (but his list wasn't diverse) and gave wise quotes, such as his explanation of dynamics. However, he does not go in details as to how to use equipment to accomplish mixing. If that's what you want, don't waste your $12. As others have said, the actors were terrible, the music was sometimes amateurish, the graphics extremely annoying, and the script was corny and cheesy. I will say that Gibson has some good mixes on the DVD, though 90% of the songs suck - credit to him there. Overall, I will say this could have been 30 minutes long if he got to the point and stopped wasting our time. I am insulted. VERY INSULTED.

KRS One's Third Round With The BDP Posse!
After two successful albums (Criminal Minded, By All Means Necessary) the Blast Master dropped what would be, number three. This album doesn't get as much recognition, but it's rightfully labeled a classic. As usual, KRS ONE delivers history, facts, and positivety in a remarkable Hip Hop fashion. "The Style You Haven't Done Yet" "Why Is That?" "Jack Of Spades" and "You Must Learn" have gotta be my favorites on here. KRS ONE's creative lyrics, mixed with his unique delivery, combined with his sweet beats (he produced the entire album) makes for a strong timeless classic.
If you're into KRS ONE, especially his BDP years, and don't already own this, do yourself a favor and pick it up. If you're a Hip Hop fan, especially of the Golden Age, you'll dig this one as well.

Superb
Telemann was one of the most prolific composers in terms of inherited works. He was a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach and also a friend of G F Handel. Even thought Bach and Handel are better know nowadays, Telemann was a reknown musician in his own lifetime.
The Tafelmusik (meaning Table Music to be played in theb ackground at banquets)by Telemann is probably his most celebrated collection of music. Composed in 1733 it demonstrates his supreme skill in handling a diversity of musical genres from German, to French to Italian fashions.
and a variety of instruments. The work was used as a guideline by many other composers to familiarise themselves with the new styles.
Many famous names can be seen on the subscription list for the first prints; above all Handel's.
This particular recording excels in clarity and craftsmanship when presenting the often delicate pieces. It is a delight to listen to in this particular rendition and the quality is extraordinary.

The Best Produced and Lyrical BDP Album Ever
SEX AND VIOLENCE, Although commerically his worst selling album of all the BDP albums, lyrically and production wise, is his best as he ridded the rap world of X-Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers and the soft as mallow pie PM Dawn on the singles "We In There" and "Build and Destroy". The 12" single remix of the "We In There" single includes a track on the other side called "Feel The Vibe, Feel the Beat" where he basically massacres that track and ended PM Dawn's and his former homey D-Nice's career.
This had to be the first KRS-ONE lp that I could actually listen to the tracks more than I could just the lyrics. KRS-ONE was going through a lot personally before this album, the divorce from his wife Ms Melodie, the beef with former homie D-Nice, and the fact that east coast rap at that time in 1992 had taken a back seat to West Coast Rap being dominated by NWA, ICECUBE, Ice-T, Too Short, Snoop, D.O.C., Geto Boys, Compton's Most Wanted, DJ Quik. West Coast rap had become the rage and the afro-centric, edutainment rap that the KRS's, the Rakims, the Public Enemy's, the Queen Latifah's, Jungle Brothers and Tribes of the East had continue to build on top of the foundation already laid down, had started to crumble. East Coast rap was being largely ignored by Yo MTV Raps, The Video Jukebox at the time, the two largest video players of rap videos. Unfortunately, this album like a poster said earlier came two years before Illmatic started the resurgence of East Coast rap again but lyrically was one of the better albums hands downs that was released that year. Though, this album will never get the mainstream props that Criminial Minded, By All Means Necessary, Edutainment, Return of the Boom Bap and his self titled, KRS-ONE albums receieved but real hip hop heads know that no MC would have dared come at KRS on any level after this.
If this album was released today, everyone would think it was so new and fresh and diverse. A shame since this album came out in 1992. What does that say about our current hip hop now?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
