David Lawrence: Then you know well enough that you are going to take a risk if you go with an off-brand and you also know well enough that it costs money to market and so you might save. Here is the deal Dell spends a lot of money on ads that increases the price of their machine but they buy their components and their manufacturing process cost them much less because they do such great volume. So it*s sort of a balancing act there but I certainly wouldn*t send you towards Gateway, I certainly wouldn*t send to you towards E Machines, HP is beginning to worrying me lately but Dell I am very happy with Dell and of course to the show airs August of 2005 who knows what the future will hold but that*s what I would tell you.
Ronnie: Okay so the big difference then you say as a lot of that is in the support.
David Lawrence: Absolutely.
Ronnie: Yeah me that*s up to me, that*s not where I wouldn*t get the extended warranty extended support anyway so that*s why that answer their questions.
David Lawrence: Okay real quick.
Ronnie: The other question is AMD versus Intel?
David Lawrence: Not a big deal.
Ronnie: It doesn*t really matter.
David Lawrence: Unless you are using software like here in the studio, we use broadcast software that actually uses the Intel chip set to its full list and so we have to have Pentium we can*t go with Celeron or any other format. But between AMD and Intel you will save money with AMD and AMD rocks, so I wouldn*t worry about that all.
Ronnie: And now that processor speed is being less important because of the all do course and all that, how do you really compare chips?
David Lawrence: You don*t, you don*t worry about it, you know the fact of the matter is that you can*t stress a chip these days so why worry about it, I mean it*s not worth even worrying about it, thanks for the call back in a moment.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
