Carol: Yes. My Aunt is getting rid off her old computer and I am acquiring it. It*s a Windows 98 and I am wondering how much RAM should a Windows 98 have?

David Lawrence: Well the interesting thing is that a Windows 98 machine can only recognize due to a limited Windows 98 Second Edition, it can only recognize 256 megabytes of RAM. So you can put more than that in it but it will never use it, ever. Now the thing is it won*t use anything above 64 megabytes of RAM if you don*t make it change to the way the swap file is used. If you send me an Email at david@onlinetonight.com I will send you back yet another one of my auto responders that lists exactly how to fix this in Windows 98 Second Edition. If you have Windows 98 Second Edition and you have more than 64 megabytes of Ram and you have not implemented this fix then your machine is only seeing the first 64 megabytes of RAM, not the rest of the up to 256 that it can recognize. So send me Email and I will make sure you have that and everything will be good, okay?

Carol: Alright.

David Lawrence: I appreciate the call. Robert you are online tonight with David Lawrence, hello.

Robert: Yes David, how are you?

David Lawrence: Good.

Robert: Good. Actually my nephew just got an iPod and he also has a birthday coming and I am all new to the whole iPod world.

Robert: And he also has a birthday coming. And I am all new to the whole iPod world. So I was just wondering what kind of snazzy accessories I would be able to purchase for him, for his birthday.

David Lawrence: What a great question. What a great question. Alright first of all I would get him the iTrip which is like 15 bucks, it*s from Griffin. It*s a little thing that plugs into the top of the iPod by the way make sure you get the right model, because there are different models of iPods.

Robert: Okay.
