David Lawrence: So when you say you moved it you just simply picked everything, you unplugged it from the wall picked everything up and moved it over and put it on another table that was that.

Chelsey: No I had a wire through a desk so I had to unplug a lot. But I figured out I plugged it all back in exactly the same way and now there is a black screen and a little green light comes on and then the orange light. It goes to orange light and then if I try to do anything I would push the buttons on the monitor and it says power safe mode, the extra Power Safe Mode please press any key or click the mouse and I have done those things and it doesn*t get out of that.

David Lawrence: Yeah I have a feeling that all you were doing was taking the monitor from what should have been normal and manually power saving it and so you didn*t have an image in either case right. Right so when you say it goes from green to orange on what box is it going form green to orange the monitor or the computer.

Chelsey: On the monitor.

David Lawrence: On the monitor okay. So that kind of tells me that its either automatically going into sleep mode without even showing you the original screen which hardly ever happens or you have maybe incorrectly put back together it might be plugged in or not plugged in. Something might not be plugged in properly or in the process of moving, several things could be going on here. I am just sort of listing them all in the process of moving it from one room to the other the video card inside the machine might have come unseated and so it*s not really able to send a signal to the monitor.

Chelsey: Yes.

David Lawrence: Somehow when you plugged it in something might have gotten damaged it*s a rare occasion when that happens but it does happen. Sometimes what happens is you will get a surge in the power supply when you plug it in and you know it jumps over to the monitor or it jumps over to the sound card or it jumps over to the modem. This process was what maybe ten minutes fifteen minutes to do the switch and then this is what you were.

Chelsey: No I had to do some vacuuming of moving things around and I did leave it to being unplugged for a little while.

David Lawrence: Well that wouldn*t affect anything I am just sort of trying to figure out was it bumped along the way or was it dropped or was did anything happen that was out of the ordinary.

Chelsey: I don*t think so.
