David Lawrence: It could be and the way to check on that is to run Norton Scandisk or run some other hard drive management tool that will tell you.

Jesse: Yeah so we reformatted hard drive and reinstalled Windows and then we ran Norton Scandisk and we did remove the bad sectors.

David Lawrence: Why didn*t you run scandisk first as you can do that by booting off the CD?

Jesse: Okay*

David Lawrence: That's what I would and that maybe your issue. I would do that first because when you installed Windows you may very well have installed Windows on some bad sectors. So what I would do is I would format the*

Jesse: Okay well here actually we did scan it twice. Once we scanned it in Windows and once in reboot.

David Lawrence: Right now I understand that. I am saying before you installed Windows that's when I would scan it because that's when Norton will cut off those sectors and then when you go and install Windows XP it won*t install it on any sectors that are bad. See what I am saying?

Jesse: I am you know actually I think he might have done that.

David Lawrence: Okay.

Jesse: He might have. Yeah well I don*t, he would have done it any other way but basically so here is I will get a little bit more concise here. We were in the middle of installing, we got the computer pretty much functioning okay and you know we were kind of in the middle of installing some drivers and whatever else the computer needed. And then it just we turn it on now or we turned it off, we had to restart it and we turned it back on and it just asked how do you want to start the computer running the Windows normally or from the CD and we clicked normally and it just shows a little progress by like Windows is starting up and it never starts up.

David Lawrence: How long have you given it?
