David Lawrence: Right so let me cut to the chase Tom let me cut to the chase yeah I need to cut to the chase because I have got other callers.
Tom: I understand.
David Lawrence: You need to take this machine to a shop and have it looked at. Because you may have damaged to the hard drive or to the --.
Tom: What I did David was the box came up when I should have put cancel and I have to exit in the box and now all I have got is a screen saver. And I can't do anything with that I may not get any options.
David Lawrence: So what I would like you to do is I would like you to take the machine to the store.
Tom: Alright.
David Lawrence: And I would like them to look at it. They are going to need to boot off of the boot drive either CD or depending upon you know what model machine you have. They may have a one key to the actual manufacturer but that*s what you need to do. 180039 Online is our telephone number 4 minutes before the hour I really will try to help as quickly as I can to get to the calls Rob, I appreciate your patience. How can I help you sir?
Rob: Hi I had a question about the AMD Athlon 64 processors.
David Lawrence: Yup.
Rob: Like what*s the benefit there what makes them I know that they are of the twice as I got power pole with 32 bits.
David Lawrence: Well they are twice as fast in terms of handling passing of data. Because if you can handle 64 bits at a time as opposed to 32 you can do certain operations that are datapath-intensive twice as fast. Now the issue is here just the same as any issue in a dual processor machine. If a processor if you have two 32-bit processors yeah theoretically everything is going to run twice as fast right. But only, only, only if the software is aware of and is programmed to take advantage of the 64-bit processor and or the dual 32-bit processor. So when looking at whether or not it's going to be good for you the thing you want to look at is what software you use all the time. Because those pieces of software have to be aware of your special setup with the 64-bit chip or two 32s in a dual processor situation or it won't make a difference at all.
Tom: Okay.
David Lawrence: So that*s the deal. I appreciate the call back in a moment it*s Online Tonight I am David Lawrence.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
