Next: David Lawrence's Personal Netcast - 6/11/2005 >>
Dave: Yes now, what happens though is up on the top of that window where you type in the first two letters of the name, after you have done the first name you know the two letters that you have type in they don*t disappear and you got to backspace and delete, it goes out to the next name.
David Lawrence: Right, again it*s a feature not a bug, what are you complaining about, well here is the thing. There are just as many people who would like to send out notes in groups, to people who begin, and whose name is beginning with DA Dave, David, Dan, Darrell etc. As there are people who would like to send E-mail out to people who don*t begin with the same first few letters. I am not sure if you can turn that off but I understand what you are saying can be annoying, we are looking at other things. And hitting return which will also, it assumes you wanted to put it the To Box because that*s where you started. If you just type the letter and just hit enter, it will do the same thing. So once you have that sub-window up, now we hit enter I believe if it*s set this way, if you hit enter while you are in the actual construction you know the composing Window, it will E-mail, it will send the E-mail, so you want to be careful about that. But I am not sure that hitting Enter doesn*t reset that sometimes it does, but it*s there it remembers it as a help not a hindrance and I don*t think there is a way around that in the preferences.
Dave: Lot of little things in software that are frustrating *
David Lawrence: Sure, sure absolutely I appreciate the call, Dave thank you very much. It is 16 before the hour, before we go back to the phones, let me talk to you little bit about some stuff that*s happened this week in terms of identity theft. We have talked on this show a number of times about how important it is, not to give people your social security number, not to give people not to let people know what your mother*s maiden name is, or choose a mothers maiden name that isn't your mother*s maiden name. Go with you know Janofsky unless your mother*s maiden name happens to be Janofsky. But all you have to do when you are doing a secret question like that is be correct, it doesn*t have to be true so if my mother*s maiden name was Lawrence I wouldn*t choose for Lawrence for my mother*s maiden name, I choose something completely different. That way people happen to know you well and often times identity theft occurs when people get a hold of your mail, get a hold of your records, therein your home, think about all these you know celebrities who have had videotapes of them having sex stolen by people that they have hired to do things or whatnot. So they may glean this information that would give them access to your account, always ask people to turn around when your typing your password in and really try your best not to sign on to accounts that require a password when you are on a computer you don*t know at somebody*s office, at somebody*s else home, in an Internet caf* or at library because somebody may have installed a piece of software that captures those keystrokes, and would know your password.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
