Paul: Now you think a router does that allow me to use any computer outside of my home or the in the network, okay?

David Lawrence: Yeah the computer doesn*t matter, what matter is whether or not you have access via a password protected webpage and using software that allows you to get in and tunnel into your system. And again this is a Virtual Private Network, which means its not open to others to see what you are doing and virtually anywhere you can get on to the Internet you can get into your system GoToMyPC easy so its an expense every month but its easy. And the VPN is a onetime shot, plus a little bit of knowledge and that*s once you get it setup it*s just a simpler matter of not forgetting your password.

Paul: Okay and even a computer on as well?

David Lawrence: Yeah you have to leave the computer on, none of these devices although there are devices where you can that don*t necessarily work over the Internet they work on the phone system. You dial them up in fact for the longest time we were routed through a studio in New York and we had some hardware installed that would allow us to actually turn on a device for the 3 hours that we are on the air and then turn it off. By simply dialing up the telephone to a particular telephone number punching in a password sequence and then having an interface that actually spoke to us and said do you wanted to be turn on? Do you wanted to be turned off you know? The device is currently on so there are devices out there within the broadcast formal things so they are fairly expensive but yeah you have leave your machine on, do you not leave your machine on all the time anywhere?

Paul: You know I don*t, is that something I should be doing?

David Lawrence: Well every time you turn your machine on and off you are changing the state of the power supply and every time you do it you weakened it just a little bit. If it*s a very hardy power supply design, which doesn*t usually happen in bargain or even midlevel brand computers then there is a possibility that this won*t be an issue in the last for years and years and years. But for the most part the kinds of parts they are using in computers these days, they try to get away with as much as they can and if you infect turn your machine on and off overtime you are greatly enhancing the chance that you will destroy the power supply faster.

Paul: Okay good information.

David Lawrence: So yeah.

Paul: Real quick as far I do a lot of work outside of my house but I notice that I want something mobile like a Treo phone; would you recommend a Treo over?

David Lawrence: Treo 650?

Paul: Yes.

David Lawrence: Yeah I would recommend dating it as a matter of fact and yeah I love the Treo as opposed to what?
