David Lawrence: I appreciate that thank you very much back in a moment with more Online Tonight. My name is David Lawrence our toll free telephone number is 180039 online 18003966546 back in a moment.

David Lawrence: The Geek Speak phrase for this hour is Bluetooth fabulous. This portion of the show powered www.godaddy.com. I use www.godaddy.com all the time I can recommend them highly enough domains for only $3.99 with any other product like hosting, E-mail accounts, web traffic, marketing tools all at a fraction of what you would expect today and right now because you listen to this radio show you can save even more. How about 10% more just enter this as your promo code when you check out the little box that says if you have a promo code enter it here SAVETEN. You can use that any time you can tell your friends about it you can blog about it, you can tell anybody about it SAVETEN. Make your name with www.godaddy.com that's www.godaddy.com. Now Bluetooth what is Bluetooth? Now Bluetooth isn't what it happens when after you drink blue raspberry lemonade no. Bluetooth is a technology standard that allows you to communicate between devices via short range radio technology. It can be used to connect to the web or for simple data syncs between devices like your PDA your desktop computer. Lot of people use Bluetooth headsets and they look like cockroaches are calling out of their ears. I happen to use a Bluetooth headset that looks like I am having surgery on my ear and it*s been wrapped with a black bandage around the backend you know like I cut myself horribly. That's what these headsets look like. It will be nice if the Bluetooth circuitry was smaller and it will get there someday but right now it*s a little bulky. And its you know after having used a Bluetooth headset for about a month I don*t use it much anymore. I use the plug in headset it sounds better to my callers; there is no latency in hearing what they have to say and so on. Bluetooth has that associated with it so I am not all popped up about Bluetooth ear pieces but I love the fact that my Treo 650 which I of course I am dating in and I am engaged to. My Treo 650 uses Bluetooth as one of the methods for syncing with my 12-inch PowerBook and its fabulous. I just have to have my Bluetooth somewhere in the metropolitan area and I can hit you know a sync, hot sync and boom there it goes top to the races. So I love that and the Bluetooth technology that goes both into the Macintosh and the Windows box into your cell phones, into your, you know your regular phones that are combination Bluetooth and normal portable phone headsets lots of cool things the Bluetooth does. Do not leave your device discoverable. Make sure you turn off discoverability in Bluetooth once you created the connection between two devices. Turn off the ability for that device to be discoverable especially if you travel, especially if you go to Internet caf* or truck stops or restaurants that have WiFi capabilities. Turn off the ability to find your device via Bluetooth there are hacks out there that can put you at risk but that's what Bluetooth is all about. This portion of the show is brought to you by Rackspace Managed Hosting right now you can get free enterprise class managed backup with selected call managed hosting packages. Its all at Rackspace Managed Hosting and they bring you Geek Speak. Call them at 18009612888 or visit them at www.rackspace.com.
