David Lawrence: So the answer is you can't get a custom phone built for you and in fact you can't even get phones with a wide array of options. Like say you wanted the Treo 650 but never in a million years would you use the camera its an additional thing to go bad. Well I don*t want a camera in my 650 you can never get a 650 that doesn*t have a camera. You know if you wanted a 650 that didn*t have Bluetooth for some reason, you know you don*t like Bluetooth don*t need it you can't make that an option. So the cell phone world now currently does not offer that level of customization nor are there people other than really hardcore geeks that are doing anything but the most minor of hacking.
Mike: So that they probably have to stamp them out all the same that*s how they keep the prices so incredibly low, you know like $500 and $600.
David Lawrence: Exactly, that*s exactly how that happen, all right I appreciate the call Mike thank you very, very much.
Mike: Thank you, take care.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
