Steve: Hey I do not know what the brand is I have spoken to an LG technical service place. They said it should work with my machine even though I am not using the DVI-D cable. But he is bewildered as to why it doesn*t work. He thinks it might be a problem with my machine. So I went back to Best Buy took the very same machine that I have bought, installed the software for another 19 inch monitor just like mine and they did right there in the store for the Geek Squad guys and they are like have no idea.
David Lawrence: So it worked and the one in the store?
Steve: No, no it did not.
David Lawrence: So it sounds like this product just isn*t ready for primetime at least with your particular machine.
Steve: So do I wait for them to update return the model, update my video card.
David Lawrence: Yeah the other thing you can do is this isn*t for a laptop, this is for desktop right. You have an open slot?
Steve: Yeah.
David Lawrence: Yeah grab a new video card that you know works. Find a video card. You don*t have to spend a lot of money just whatever is least expensive one is that works with this monitor. You can actually now have 2 monitors you can run your old monitor on the old card, run this new monitor on the new card and probably for another 100 bugs have twice the space and this cool rotating function.
Steve: Alright.
David Lawrence: That*s what I would do I appreciate the call. 180039 online is our telephone number. Back with more calls in just a moment.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
