It*s just simply you know if you are into it, if you are geeking out you are probably not going to call me anyway but if you are into it and geeking out and you want to do this as a hobby that*s great I will tell you how to do that too. But if you just want to get back on to www.pongo.com and play your games or whatever. I am assessing that as I am actually listening to the actual problem as well. And so I give what I think is an appropriate solution and time and again I am taken to task by people who disagree with my approach, who think I am being abrasive, who think I am just simply copying out and saying hey just take it to a store and have it check it out. But my goal is to give not only a solution but a solution that works best for you. If you are way into technology, if you are a coder, if you have a dual processor speed demon of a machine that is water cooled and has a cut out window so you can actually watch the mechanisms inside, well there is a different answer for you if there is an issue than there is for my mom. And if a caller calls me and is abrasive or is not listening to me when I am asking questions or when I am offering up the answers or is giving me information that is extraneous and is fact clouding the issue. I am going to call them on that too and that*s just the way I have done it for low this many decades that I have been on the air. But over and over and over people will write me E-mail because they can because it*s anonymous because they can be brave when writing E-mail and say things that they would never say to me face to face, never. Call me names, call into question my lineage, my family structure and so on and worse and let me know just how little I know and little I help people. And you know it*s just one of those things where people sometimes make themselves feel better by putting someone else down you know. Or they simply disagree with what I have said, there is such a, you can imagine what kind of hate mail I got during the hay day of Napster and hay day of KaZaa when I was speaking my mind on not stealing from the Internet. And I continue to get that to this day because you know the writings that I did for Radio on Records and the writings that I did for my website Survive on the Internet you can find them all over the place. And people immediately if they are of a different mindset get really angry about those sorts of things. And so I mentioned that on the air that I got a piece of E-mail from some guy in Hawaii who thought I was just a jerk and treated a caller poorly. And gave him a wrong answer and copped out or whatever. And people don*t listen to the show for longer than 10 or 15 minutes get it they get what*s going on. And so many people wrote E-mails like do pay any attention to this guy, he doesn*t know what he is talking about, we love what you do, we get the deal you are a human being you are what you are and that*s the way it is and we love that.
