David Lawrence: I love E-mail from listeners. I mean it runs the gamut from people saying hey thanks very much for the hard work that you do and for getting this information out there. The note from, I have got a note here from we find it here oh Suzanne Smith, the Gameson what a great screen name the Gameson. It says hi David listening to you on the mighty 720 WGN. I have a question about Retrospect to backup my PC in case of hard drive failure. If I purchase Retrospect do I also have to purchase an external hard drive to back it up or can CDs be used? Well if you get the right hard drive you don't have to even purchase Retrospect. I always tell people to buy the Maxtor OneTouch 100 gigabytes, 200 gigabytes, 300 gigabytes because it comes with Retrospect right on it free. And that's the best bargain in the universe. Maxtor and I actually wrote back Suzanne its part of the auto responder on my backup stuff that those are ones. We also recommend those in 10 Quick Steps to Perfect Backups which is my little eBook on this that you can find over at www.10quicksteps.com and I love this from Corrine. Hi David I am a hot chick and I will be your girlfriend and do anything you want if you would just make my machine stop popping up ads. Oh Corrine I appreciate that. I am not in the market right now. I do appreciate it but I thank you very much. If I am ever in the market I will look you up. You can, you know I think its really interesting nerds all of a sudden are sexy because of beauty and the geek. And because we sort of lost that image, we are getting a little bit hipper these days. We have lost sort of that tape around the glasses thing which I never, I have really good vision so I have never been able to get into wearing those GI glasses with tape on them or the pocket protectors you know. I like more Blog Pants and they don't usually fit into pocket protectors but it shows the quiet desperation of hot chicks that they need someone to help them with their machines and I am glad to be of service and I thank you very much. You made my night. But lots of really, really great questions Bill Isherwood who actually is listening in the Bahamas on Sirius says I am using Firefox now on XP Home. Should I remove Internet Explorer and if it is so how like it isn*t in Add/Remove programs and I am new on computers and I am on a small boat South East of Miami by 350 miles. I don't have good communications. Well here is the good news. You can't remove it. That's why it*s not in Add/Remove programs. It*s an integral part of the Windows operating system. In fact Firefox relies on it. All browsers rely on the Internet Explorer, a component of Windows XP. So you can't remove it so don't try. Just go about your business citizen using Firefox and enjoying life its brilliant. 180039 Online is our telephone number 18003966546 I know all the lines are filled. You are getting a busy signal. We will take care of that in just a moment. Earlier in the show we had an issue where a caller called up and said trying to use control panels in XP Pro it*s not responding and Ed seems to have the answer. Ed go ahead.
