David Lawrence: Okay thank you so much for tuning into the show I appreciate it. Seven before the hour we were talking with Shirley before we went to the, oh Shirley must have gone away. Must be on a cell phone. If your machine starts to act a little goofy your 10.4, she is running a Tiger if she is running 10.4. If the machine starts to act a little goofy and you come up and you don*t have anything but the blue screen it*s not a blue screen of death like it is on Windows. It does mean that your drive is booting because it*s found a boot drive and its booting but there is an issue with the operating system. So you may have to reinstall the operating system. Holding the shift key down as you boot up is also a way to get into your system without any additional items put in. You might want to boot from the actual Panther disk and run Disk First Aid and see if that fixes up your hard drive. It maybe just an issue with your hard drive and if that*s the case you want to check your hard drive and maybe replace it. Back all your stuff up and put on a new one. The way to start up with the CD, the Panther CD is to put the CD in with the machine off, hold down the C key as you hit the power button and keep the C key held down until you boot to the operating system that is actually on the CD. You will still see the hard drive but you won*t be booting from the hard drive. You can actually examine the hard drive and maybe fix it with Disk First Aid. So there you go. Lisa you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence at 180039 online, hello Lisa.
Lisa: Hi.
David Lawrence: Hi there.
Lisa: I would like you to tell me what the meaning of the word blog is?
David Lawrence: That will be $5 extra.
Lisa: Oh okay.
David Lawrence: Okay so go ahead what you were going to say, what else?
Lisa: Well I was just going to say I know it*s a new technology term and the place that I work just went to a new website and now it says blog. The website it starts with blog and I guess I just don*t understand what blog means.
David Lawrence: Sure. Okay so a blog, the word blog is short for Weblog and basically in its purest form it is software that allows you to put up regular updates to an online diary. Now it*s not just about dear diary today Richard said hello to me and my heart skipped a beat. It*s not about that. What it is, is a way to manage a website that has regular updates daily hourly, minute to minute, weekly whatever it is by using an interface that is web based so you can do it from anywhere in the world where you basically type in an entry and hit post and boom your website updates itself with this latest post. If you have been to our website if you have been to www.onlinetonight.com our website is actually a blog. I don*t usually enter things in my blog opinion based.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
