David Lawrence: Yeah Virtual Bouncer is one of those pieces of software that*s often given away with ISPs and so on. And it is hardly as effective as the three that I mentioned earlier. I would uninstall it with Add/Remove Programs or with the AntiSpyware solutions that you will get if you send me a piece of E-mail and you get back the answer from me. Spy Sweeper, Virtual Bouncer, Spy and ________21:40, I mean there is just a million of them and most of them are junk. The three that I mentioned Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware are really the best of the bunch and working in tandem with each other working in combination. They are far and away the best options that you have. Virtual Bouncer is something that I would take off of your machine.
David: But I am running Adaware and I am running Spybot.
David Lawrence: And if you add Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware that is the best combination for you. Take Virtual Bouncer off your machine. That*s my advice to you. 180039 online, back in a moment.
David Lawrence: Keane is hoping to flashback about 20 years or so, details just ahead. Keane and Somewhere Only We Know at #17 this week on the Net Music Countdown.
David Lawrence: Somewhere Only We Know that*s Keane at #17 on the Net Music Countdown eTracks charts this week. They are at #17 over at Gracenote CDDB. Now after being part of a successful UK cover of Band Aid*s Do They Know It*s Christmas Keane says if the offer came for Live A2 well they are there. They have accepted the gig. The group also says they are interested in producing their own charity single to raise money for Band Aid as well.
David Lawrence: Bryan apparently lost an eye. No you didn*t, come on. 26 minutes before the hour. Hey I am David Lawrence, name of the show is Online Tonight. Let me just expand a little bit. I kind of ran out of time there when I was talking with the caller about Virtual Bouncer. I have mentioned on the show a million times that these guys are so sneaky this anti, these Spyware guys, these Adware guys are so sneaky that they have really scrapped the bottom of the barrel. They have gone to creating what appears to be AntiSpyware that is actually Spyware. They claim you should put in on your machine. It will remove popup ads and all that stuff. It brings popup ads. Let me read to you from, I mean there is, if you just Google Virtual Bouncer, just Google Virtual Bouncer. The first 9 links are all about how crappy Virtual Bouncer is and how it*s really Spyware not AntiSpyware. Computer Associates you have seen their ads on television. They are huge company. They work in the enterprise base with big huge companies and they own a couple of companies that deal with the desktop. This is what they say Virtual Bouncer is. This is in their Spyware Information Center. Virtual Bouncer is Adaware which brings ads to your computer. Such ads may or may not be targeted but are injected and/or popped up and are not merely displayed within the form of an ad sponsored application. So Virtual Bouncer isn't helping and in fact it*s hurting. So get rid of it. Get rid of Virtual Bouncer and Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy and Windows Antivirus will help you with that. Now one other thing before we go back to the phones. I love how powerful this show is. When I say hey you know send me an E-mail and I will send you back. I have sitting in my inbox as we speak, when did I say that like 8 minutes ago 9 minutes ago I have in my inbox 112 E-mails from people looking for me to send them back. Now luckily I have this auto responder which is great. But there are some questions in a couple of them the ones that I have opened up here, that are very interesting. This from Oley Stolberg or Olive Stolberg and she says or he says I am pretty sure it*s a she. If it*s Olive it*s a she. Please send the URLs for the three free downloads to me. Also should I delete Antivirus software like MacAfee before using these three? That*s a great question. This is exactly why people who are new to technology should be asking questions on this show.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
