Got a tip for a post?: Email us | Anonymous form Get Election 2008 in your mailbox! Probe of DOJ Political Firings Enters Dangerous Phase Posted by David Iglesias, Huffington Post on October 14, 2008 at 12:58 PM. Recent developments brought a dangerous new turn to the on-going United States Attorney and Justice Department disaster. Based on the evidence, career, non-partisan investigators recommended the appointing of a special prosecutor to determine whether

• Peak Wingnut? You. Have. No. Idea.
In a post below John argues, wrongly I think, that a profound loss in November will bring at least a little sanity to the online right. Glenn Greenwald had a similar thought earlier today: I receive e-mails fairly commonly these days pointing out some bad policy or another that Obama is advocating and asking why I favor an Obama/Biden victory in light of that. Even if you don?t see much difference between the two parties and dislike both presidential candidates, the need to rid ourselves of th

We go round and round in circles, don?t we? Now ACORN is under attack, despite their non-partisan effort to register voters; they are, of course, by majority not WEALTHY voters signing on, who already have all the access they need. And consequently, not [by and large] Republican voters. Stunningly, 1.3 million of them are newly registered ? and this makes McCain and Palin nuts, but then ? they?re both squirrels, hustling their repressive nut as best they can. This circle, by the way, takes
• Questioning Their Motives
Victor Davis Hanson has a piece out today that I suspect will be the first of many of its kind. Intermixed with some excellent points about the perception of McCain campaign negativity, the politics of race, and scandalmongering, he aims this cheap shot at Republicans who have expressed dismay at McCain or even endorsed his opponent. After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
