Title : *FILE TRANSPORTER PROTOCOL 2*

Date : 09/03/2005

Copyright * 1994-2005 David Lawrence and Online Today Inc. All Rights Reserved, worldwide.

David Lawrence: It is seven minutes past the hour thanks so much for tuning into the show. I appreciate it very much. Labor Day weekend under full swing, lots of things happening great across the country. Couple of things not so great and we are keeping an eye on what's going on down in New Orleans and we have some special Bookmark This for you tonight specifically on how you can use the Internet. If you feel just a little bit helpless about the Hurricane Katrina situation not really able to contribute money not really able to head down there and volunteer well there*s lots of things you can do and lots of resources on the net that can help you and people you may know in that area so we will get to that coming up on the show. What we do on this radio show Online Tonight is we talk about technology the Internet, pop culture, how we use computing and technology in our everyday lives and how sometimes it can be helpful and sometimes not so helpful. We sort of try and make it all helpful if you use a Macintosh or a Windows device if you are suffering under Windows or Mac OS X with some problem that just doesn*t quiet make sense to you this is the program to call. Here*s our toll free telephone number 1800-39 online, 1800-396-6546. The machine itself the operating system the software the pop-up ads the spam, the E-mail, the websites all those things are fair game to talk about and so we look forward to your call there 1800-39 online, 1800-396-6546. Now we are not the kind of show that ravels in confusing people at all costs in fact just the opposite. We love it when we are able to bring to beginners or people new to technology an understanding of what technology does and how you can harness it how you can take advantage of it. How you can actually make your lives easier rather than more annoying. We like that and we don*t try to hide behind technical terms in fact we do a feature during the show called Geek Speak which is designed specifically to take a tech term and turn it into plain English before your very ears. We want to simplify things and so although I am happy to take calls from people who are well seasoned in technology I really do encourage those of you who think that oh if I called that radio show about technology they will just make fun of me for not knowing everything. That's hardly the case here. We want to know because the questions from people who are new to technology oddly enough help many, many more people than the ones from people who have very specific configurations of their machines or very unique and weird networking anomalies in those things we can help them and that's great but I would like to help as many people as possible. So if you sit there and you look at E-mail and you go I don*t get why sometimes I send E-mail out and the other
