David Lawrence: Okay now something happened at the end of that last call when I was talking with Anne that just, it maybe stopped when I was doing and just sigh. And I want to talk to you about it. As you call into the show its really important that we have a conversation and a dialogue and I felt like through that whole call I was fighting against Anne*s wanting to tell me what was wrong with her machine rather than tell me what she thought was going on and then listening to what I had to say about it. We went through all the stuff that we went through whether it had enough RAM, whether it had enough speed on the chip, whether or not there was the ability to have a lower Internet setting and I had asked her about the RAM space and about the speed of the chip. We were wrapping things up and I said yeah it would be nice if you have just a gigabyte of RAM on there. And she said yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. I was almost all filled up and then he fixed it. And what that refers to is the amount of stuff on your hard drive. It has nothing to do with your RAM. I am just here to help. I really am. I am trying to help and if I can*t talk with you about it, if I can't ask questions and you know sort of give my response to things and not do so in a vacuum I can*t really help you. I can*t do it if you are you know jot down what I say and then go take it to your brother and have him fix it. But don*t try to think that if you are not sure about what I am talking about then you can assume that you do. I want you to be happy with your technology. I want you to be able to use it. If you don*t know what*s going on just drop the pretense and say I don*t know. I don*t know. Can you help me or because I do that. If you call me up with something I don*t know about I am the first one to say I don*t know I have never use that piece of software, that hardware before. Very few of the people who do this type of radio show will do that. They will try and figure it out real quick by going on the web and looking things up and trying to fake their way through. Look not everybody can know everything. I ask my listeners all the time to call in if you have got experience with technology that I just simply don*t use or haven*t used yet or don*t know anything about. But it was very frustrating for me because I really wanted to help and I wanted her to sort of jot down some notes and hear what I was saying. But I think sometimes you get so nervous about being on the radio or you know a little bit about it and so you think if I just give you the hints it will help out. I felt like that whole call sort of went down the tubes because I said you know a gigabit of RAM and she heard something else in her head. I am not quite sure what but it had nothing to do with how much stuff she had on there before her brother came in and cleaned it off. And I am not sure I helped at all. I am not sure I was able to help in asking the questions that I asked. I am not sure I even got the right answers. So I guess what I am asking is let*s sort of talk. Let*s have a conversation about your technology, how you are using it and whatnot and then let*s see if I can actually help you. I don*t feel like I helped Anne at all. I feel like I stepped into the middle of a very desperate conversation that was very one sided and I can imagine she is really upset. She can*t get around on the Internet. She can*t get her E-mail off her Hotmail. But I don*t feel like I helped and I sure hope that the next calls that I take I can help. Daryl and Richard and Dave you will be up next 180039 Online.
