David Lawrence: Have you used the other one before you make this massive jump just because you can work with excel in a different way on Pocket PC. I mean there is not that much difference and you might want to rethink that that*s the reason that you are doing it. But if obviously whatever your reason is that*s fine. You only going have to do this once. So that*s the good news, the bad news is that you are right if your sinking system doesn*t like using sinking with Palm then that*s really the right way to do this. That*s why it*s so easy to actually switch between PDA*s. Because usually you are sinking up with something on your computer. Outlook Express, Outlook you know your calendaring programs, your E-mail programs, your note taking programs etc. And so there is not reason why you cant sink up with other devices and formats as well since it all comes back to the central point on your machine. Any chance you can take that machine and take it out of the group wise umbrella and do the sinking directly just for the transfer.

Bari Lee: Well what I do actually I probably make it complicated because I sinked to the Palm desktop for my address book and my to do list and my memos. And because there isn*t a featuring group wise to get all of those things. I mean I could do the calendar there but its not as nicer feature and then I think I used Intellisink and then I used you know to go back and forth in terms of my calendar.

David Lawrence: Right well if you yeah okay well here*s the deal use Intellisink to do all of it yeah at least once. Because there is an Intellisink client also for a Pocket PC.

Bari Lee: So I do it from the desktop because when I talked to my IT department they said it was impossible.

David Lawrence: Well of course they did because they don*t want you messing around with their well thought out standards and I don*t blame them. What you are asking okay then the when they say you can*t do it then say okay you do it then. If I can*t do it fine you do it. I need Pocket PC figure it out smart boy. You know nick the computer guy go ahead. I mean look if they are not going to help you out, often times IT department for they really frost me because they become sheriffs you know and lord knows their mission is to keep the network safe. But sometimes they become complete jerks about it. Their job is to make sure you make money for the company period. End of report while they keep the companies safe. But for them to say you can*t do it, that*s an easy way for them to get you off their list of things what they have to do and that really irritates me. You know their job is to oh you need to do that well let me give it some brain power here they hired me for my certifications and my degrees and what not and they probably pay me more than the average real hard core worker here. So let me actually give some brain power to this and see if I can help you out. Those of the IT people that are gold you know the ones that actually go oh yeah I will help you figure that out.
