Jeremy: Yes sir, I have Norton Ghost 2003 that comes on the systems with Pro CD. And I made a backup, now I am having trouble restoring the backup, it give gives me compression there --
David Lawrence: Gee, what a surprise.
Jeremy: Yeah, and it restores to different points and thing is not always dying in the same spot.
David Lawrence: When you are restoring, you are booting off the CD right?
Jeremy: I tried that, I have tried copying the files to hard drive.
David Lawrence: That*s the only way, you can do it is to boot off the CD. If that is not working for you, it maybe that your hard drive is failing and what I would do is, I would use another part of the SystemWorks, Norton Utilities, to make sure that hard drive is in good shape before I began to restore from Ghost.
Jeremy: I tried then a Integrity Check on another computer that failed.
David Lawrence: Yep, so that means your hard drive is bad.
Jeremy: Is there another way to restoring that at all?
David Lawrence: No, that is a bad Ghost, I apologize, but that*s the deal.
