David Lawrence: Alright, so they kept you on hold and you finally what hung up or what?
Barbara: Yeah, I think that I had done the priority code or something wrong so I dialed back after waiting an hour went through the whole you know run this troubleshooter on your system that*s have the other thing. Got a new priority code used that new priority code to call back said I am hold for about an hour.
David Lawrence: And this was overnight on a Friday night?
Barbara: Yes.
David Lawrence: Okay so this was late at night on a Friday night.
Barbara: And I checked their website and their phone recording saying you know we are 24x7 on priority to start the other, so they were suppose to be open. So I went to bed woke up about 3 in the morning figured it was a good time to call in, called in set on hold again this time I called back didn*t use a priority code incase it was a priority line. They didn*t have music on their hold buttons, which is okay but you know just thought I might have done something wrong. Got up at 5 A.M. called back again, this time there was music on their hold button and somebody should tell them that any song with a lyric I have waiting so long even if its followed by For You Love does not belong on hold music, so anyway I waited.
David Lawrence: Sometimes they do that just as a joke but it can be very, very annoying when you are really up against the wall.
Barbara: Right, come 6:30 I have to go off and do a presentation believe it or not to a job in a networking group on how to effectively use their computers for a job search. Without being able to put my computer into the network that let*s me showed them the screen. So I had to talk to them about it instead of showing them because I couldn*t put my computer on the network obviously engaged. Got out of my meeting called back this is the fifth hour I have been on hold for 4 hours. Finally I got mad enough that I went to AVG*s website downloaded their trial version ran it on my machine got fixed Norton.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
