Rose: And when we check to make sure that the sound is on and the volume is up everything seems to be okay.
David Lawrence: And when you go to the sound control panel nothing is clicked that says mute.
Rose: No the mute is not click on and when I put a CD in it, it will say play CD it will be playing but no noise.
David Lawrence: And nothing is plugged into the speaker jack.
Rose: The speaker jack is plugged on it.
David Lawrence: Right I understand that. Have you tried unplugging the speakers and plugging in headphones. Because you could have a broken wire for your speaker, you could have the speakers could have been blown out. So what I would do is I would unplug the speakers, I am assuming you have that little tiny stereo plug on the end of the speaker line.
Rose: Yes.
David Lawrence: Just unplug the speakers and plug in a set of mini headphones and see if you hear sound. If you hear sound then it*s not the computer it*s the speakers. So and it could be anywhere along the way there, you have checked the right things in checking the sound control panel. But just to be sure check to see if the speakers are having a problem by trying another way of listening to the sound with headphones.
Rose: Okay.
David Lawrence: Alright.
Rose: Thank you.
David Lawrence: I appreciate the call. That leaves me an open line 180039 online jump in there to get on the air, if you want to be on show 18003966546 back in a moment.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
