Bob: No.

David Lawrence: Okay you might want to do that because what happens is dust will accumulate inside your computer and it acts like a blanket. And what it does is it coats these different parts on the computer, it is just a natural progression of things and those parts because they are insulated by the dust get hot. And when they get hot they stop working. So that*s the first thing to check is to make sure that your machine is nice and cool. After that then you know since you said the machine is what two years old?

Bob: Yeah.

David Lawrence: You might just want to check for hardware issues but if it really is if you have noticed that it*s happening after a certain period of time while the machine is been up and running and it doesn*t happen immediately when you first start your machine.

Bob: That*s correct.

David Lawrence: I always look to heat as an issue. So that*s what I would do.

Bob: Now I burn a lot of DVDs a lot of movies but that tends to heat it quite a bit.

David Lawrence: Sure.

Bob: Now, would that have an affect on other programming later on down the road on another not the program but other applications that I am using.

David Lawrence: Heat is an issue for the hardware only. And since the hardware gets affected by it well then software is going to get affected by too not directly be from the heat but because of the heat sort of a chain of custody. So as the heat has the deleterious effects to your hardware it starts to breakdown every piece of hardware on the machine. Power supplies in particular are very suspect when there is heat involved because the power supply itself needs to stay cool, the chips need to stay cool, the fan if there is a fan, is there fan on your machine?

Bob: Yeah.
