Scott: Which was well everything was done in see my dad keeps buying these prepackaged computers and I am like Dad I know enough about it. I can set up a good one for you and he*s like no, no, no I got to get a system and me and my mom trying to listen or you got all these stuff that you are never going to use.
David Lawrence: Were there some prima facie evidence to the contrary here especially when you are asking me how to get into the Bios there is--?
Scott: Oh that the thing was the computer was made by Hewlett Packard and it was done at this you know prepackaged system that even those that are extremely computer illiterate could use the computer and not have to worry about you know how much RAM do I have, do I have to worry about the Bios all that sort of stuff.
David Lawrence: You sound like you are describing 99% of the machines out there. I mean the fact that you can do.
Scott: I mean I suppose I do that because every computer that I have ever owned I do it myself.
David Lawrence: So just install Windows and see.
Scott: But I have a prepackaged thing whenever I get a new computer I install with a blank hard drive and I install Windows myself.
David Lawrence: Alright well there you go you have my word on what to do there and now the issue this is exactly why when people call up and they go I know what I am doing I build my own computers but I can*t get into the Bios. And the answer is to install Windows. That*s why we sort of tend to stick with questions that deal with these as we put the prepackaged computers because that*s what most people have. They don*t have any problems getting into their Bios because they have an operating system on the machine. You get it all kinds of licensing issues and in this case if he wants to take the machine and make it a Linux machine which is really easy to do I mean there is so many different ways of getting Linux on the machine there is so many different publishers that have Linux that can be burnt onto a disc and start up with that CD and put it on a machine which will make it able to get into the Bios so that you can see the CD Player. Back in a moment.
David Lawrence: ZoneAlarm Security Suite, this is a piece of software you must, must, must put on your Windows machine. There is no end to the ingenuity that a hacker has in trying to get on your machine, whether it*s password fishing, whether it*s brute force attacks, whether it*s Trojans, Worms, Viruses, social engineering by sending you E-mails that looks real but really isn*t. ZoneAlarm Security Suite stops hackers trying to steal your identity, stops them dead in their tracks and here*s how. If you go to stophackersnow.com and select David from the dropdown menu I will get you $30 off this Suite stophackersnow.com select David in the dropdown menu. PC magazine said that ZoneAlarm Security Suite is the only security product you need. I have been recommending ZoneAlarm, ever since I have known about it 4-5 years or so. Go to stophackersnow.com select David in the dropdown menu, get $30 off. This is one piece of software you do not want to be without.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
