Lee: Hi I have recently purchased a 300 gigabyte drive to use on my Mac as an external backup, both as a backup and I purchased it to use it as a scratch for video editing. I was wondering what software package you would recommend for using it backup as opposed to just OneTouch Maxtor software that comes with it.

David Lawrence: Well that OneTouch Maxtor software that comes with it is exactly the software that you should use because OneTouch Maxtor is the brand name of the hard drive, the software that*s on it is actually the best software for the job that*s called Retrospect. Because it is that good I have been using Retrospect in various incarnations ever since the days that it was called DiskFit back in the old days.
