David Lawrence: Only a 120,000 people?
Brian Cooley: Yeah, which sounds low.
David Lawrence: That does sound really in fact MacWorld schedule, they are projected to be next week at a 178,000. Well just last year, they topped out at 105,000. This seems odd.
Brian Cooley: I know the number seems low but that*s the official number I am hearing. I have heard a quarter million a year ago. So that sounds like it*s come down by half and makes no sense.
David Lawrence: Makes no sense.
Brian Cooley: Yeah I think I am wrong.
David Lawrence: Okay especially since the fact that the square footage has --
Brian Cooley: Has gone way up.
David Lawrence: Yeah. It maybe that you know companies have done really well with their products and they just have way too much money in their promotion budgets. And so they are spending more money per capita, more dollars per capita than they were.
Brian Cooley: I got to say the show feels a little more spacious like the big boost or even bigger. I think it*s really gotten to be the, and they have sold big tickets. If you go over to Samsung, they got their own zip code.
David Lawrence: It*s like Microsoft in any COMDEX.
Brian Cooley: Right it*s like Microsoft, what, is Microsoft even here?
David Lawrence: Yeah they are.
Brian Cooley: Well they are in the house up in front.
David Lawrence: Yeah they are.
Brian Cooley: Up by our mash tent.
David Lawrence: You know what they do, they do it smart. They do what IBM used to do at COMDEX. There was an IBM Pavilion, but then they would sort of like finger their way into everything.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
